Delivering the European Minerals Yearbook
Workshop Invitation – 3 December 2014, Brussels

The Minerals4EU project aims to contribute to meeting the recommendations of the Raw Materials Initiative. It will develop an EU Mineral intelligence network delivering a web portal, a European Minerals Yearbook and foresight studies.

This event focuses primarily on the delivery of the European Minerals Yearbook and the data survey processes currently undertaken through Work Package 4 of the project for developing the Yearbook. The day will conclude with a session devoted to the Mineral Intelligence Network (Work Package 2).

Workshop objectives

This event presents the opportunity to interact with the Minerals4EU project team (Work Package 4 and Work Package 2) and to provide your views in delivering the European Minerals Yearbook and developing the European Minerals Intelligence Network. Specific objectives are:

- to assist the data gathering process which is underway for delivering the European Minerals Yearbook; data gaps and issues and challenges will be presented and discussed (Work Package 4);
- to gather stakeholders’ views and information needs in relation to the European Minerals Yearbook and to decide a way forward for the structure, content and functionality of the Yearbook to be delivered by Minerals4EU and beyond (Work Package 4);
- to present and discuss on the scope of the Minerals Intelligence Network and on the membership of the proposed permanent body (Work Package 2)
